My 3590 is synced with a BB Torch 9800. All features work except for Safe Text. When I press the phone button on the 3590, I see 5 options, but none for Safe Text. The Torch 9800 is listed on Garmin's site as compatible for Safe Text, yet no luck.

You need to make sure that the MAP (Message access Protocol) bluetooth service is enabled on the Blackberry when you pair with the nuvi. Also make sure the phone and the GPS are up to date. I do not have a MAP BT enabled phone so if the above does not help then you will want to contact Garmin via phone 1-800-800-1020.

After a Master Reset, which had no positive effect, the Garmin Tech group has suggested I send the unit in for repairs to their repair center in Quebec - Raytech.
Sound reasonable to you?
