It's been perplexing to find a current 4.3"(-) Nuvi model that can mount without cord interference in tight quarters on my dash. I've been intending to buy a Nuvi 2455+ model, believing that the power cord fits directly into its back, pointing down. Now I see a manual shows the cord plugs into the side of the cradle, points backward and may not work where I want to mount it for legality.
(Earlier I read the 2350's cord must plug into the mount cradle, which restricts its adjustment angle for dash mounting. But the 2350's manual IMPLIES its 12V power cord can connect to EITHER a mini-USB on the cradle or a Micro-USB socket on the GPS bottom-?? Make sense?)
Doesn't any ~current Nuvi model (speaking street names) have a direct 12V connection with a light, flexible cord? Thanks!

The power cable will plug into the unit and the cable will face down. Each model series is a little different than the previous. If you want a unit that will allow you to plug the cable into the cradle then you will want the nuvi 3490LMT.
