I've discovered a couple of either incorrect or "archaic" names for streets or routes on my gorgeous new 3590. How do I go about changing those incorrect names or route numbers? Since there is a keyboard on the device, I hope I can invoke some specific procedure and use the keyboard to generate the new information and swap it for the incorrect info.
And, I DO read the manual, but I did not see anything that deals with this.
Thanks...

At this time there isn't a program on the GPS unit that will allow editing street names. The map manufacturer, Navteq, have a Map Reporter on their website that allows users to update incorrect or new addresses, intersections, roads and Points of Interest. Please copy and paste the following address into your browser to add your information.

Roxie...
I did as you suggested, went to the site, performed all the required steps only to find, at the VERY END, the form would NOT accept the insertion of my Model in the "required field" and now just went gray with a spinning wheel in the center. Not a particularly inspiring exercise...I entered my correction, located the coordinates, entered ALL the information, including my 3590 serial number...and the form would NOT accept the model and therefore would not allow the submission of the error report. Kindly have a human interact with me, collect my map correction data and advise me that my information has at least departed my location here at home.
I note the form goes back to 1996...I suspect no one has looked at that page since...

Navteq does not provide a consumer phone number that you can call that I could easily find. It is best to try the Map Reporter tool in a few days. It could be a bug or something they are working on.

You can also submit via Garmins website.
