What are unscheduled trips?

I entered an unscheduled trip and named it using the trip planner. I see it in the unit under the Trip Planner app. When I connect to Basecamp, I do not see this route anywhere in Basecamp. Am I supposed to be able to? I thought all routes could be transferred to/from the device via Basecamp? Does this not include "unscheduled trips"? What exactly is an unscheduled trip?

All trips that you save in the unit will be called unscheduled. It just means that you have not started them yet. You can send routes to the unit but you are correct Basecamp will not recognize routes from the unit at this time.

I am hoping Basecamp will be given this capability to read routes from the unit in the very near future. I know you folks at GPSCity have no control over the Garmin Basecamp development team, but this really needs to be added to the wish list for the next revision to Basecamp.

The more people that mention that to Garmin the more likely it will happen.

Select the trip in your trip planner then use the three bars in the top right corner to bring up options including Delete.
