I just got my 3590LMT and am downloading the most recent software. The Garmin site states that this process may taka few minutes. I admit I have a fairly slow highspeed internet conntection but this down load has been going on no 24 hours. This is not what I would condsider a few minutes. How long does it normally take to download this thing?

Sometimes the Garmin server gets overloaded and you will need to try again. The speed in which the update downloads will depend on your connection speed, Garmins upload speed and how many other people are downloading it at that time. It normally will take minimum one hour or more. (with my internet speed) I suggest trying again later to see if it speeds up. If it still does not work then you will want to phone for assistance. 1-800-800-1020

Thank you Jordan. I stopped the download and restarted it and all went well. The download took about five hours with my slow connection.

Hi, I am trying to download maps from my computer to the garmin nuvi 1450 LMT.
During the downloading process shows error- stop working. Was told that this happens due to wireless connection.
I dont have internet at home and use the wireless connection from the library. Suggestions?

I suggest trying a high speed wired connection to see if that helps.

If it fails please contact Garmin at 1-800-800-1020
