my garmin is stuck on the first screen and iv tried everything help

I would suggest trying to hold the power button in for over a minute. Also try a firmware update using Garmin Webupdater. That may help. Last thing to try before calling Garmin is a RESET. Hold your finger in the bottom right hand side of the screen and then boot the GPS on. Hold your finger in that spot until a prompt comes up asking if you want to erase all user data. If all else fails I suggest calling the technical support team for Garmin at 1-800-800-1020

My Garmin Nuvi 1300 is stuck on the screen calibration. Have tried the reset by holding the power button down for power over a minute and also pressing the lower right hand corner of the screen at power turn on. The unit will power on and off but it always opens on the screen calibration screen. You can press the dots and it (the dots) cycles through the various positions on the screen, but I can not get it to go back to the normal start up screen? Help!

Make sure there is no damage to the screen and no dirt stuck between the bezl and the screen.
