I need assistance with editing/changing the address attached to the "Home" icon. I accidentally (long story) hit a location, and I had not gotten the chance to store my home address nor any of my favorites. I appreciate anyone's help.

Delete the Home location from your favorites menu. Then go back and hit the home button again to set a new position

i need to delete my home address as HOME. But, when I go to favorites, I don't see that option.

The Nuvi 40LM is a very basic unit and does not have all the features found in the upper end Nuvis.
The Home location can be edited or deleted using Garmin Basecamp.
Garmin Basecamp is free and can be downloaded from Garmin's website.
