I am looking at buying a new Garmin. I don't need all the bells and whistles but I would like to have one the preforms well. What do you mean by Lifetime Traffic and Map updates? Are they automatically update? The last one I bought was on e-bay a year ago and I am getting a message that says it's been two years since an update. What does LMT stand for? This 2595 LMT looks good but the 2455 LMT is more in my price range. What would you reccomend?

Hi Dennis,

Garmin units listed as LMT models allow you to vist Garmin.com four times a year an download the most recent maps. The traffic feature is a systen designed to alert you to possible traffic along your designated route. You could have a look at the 2495 LMT. It will give you the features of the 2595 in the 4.3 inch screen size.
