When loading information on the unit, the unit will shut down, then restart up on its own. Hence, will lose any information loaded at that time. What is required to correct this problem.

What information is being loaded to the GPS?
Try running the Garmin WebUpdater to load or reload the latest software.
You may also want to contact Garmin Tech Support for assistance.

I attempted to load the update through my laptop. The process stated after loading, that the programs were successfully loaded. When I tried to work with the GPS, THE UNIT SHOWED THAT THERE WAS NO MAP DATA AVAILABLE. Then I tried to reload with my desktop, the same happened. I will call your help line.

Check to see if the map is turned on by going into the Tools > Settings > myMaps and verify that there is a check in the check box next to the Map.
