How to transfer trip logs to BaseCamp?

I'm finding Trip Logs, while grouped by day, to be incomplete on my 3590.
Sometimes the only thing displayed is a segment between sleeps. Other times a "where I've been" trace just ends in the middle of an expressway.
BaseCamp may see multiple segments for a single nonstop trip, yet does not see the most recent track from the current day.
User manual has very little info on Trip Logs. Any more detail available??

All information Garmin provides is in the manual. Is there a specific question you have?

To be sure you collect a track log properly each time be sure to let you GPS track enough satellites to get a position before moving.

I guess my question is: What am I expecting to see when I use the "Where I've been" app and pick a day? I realize on the GPS the data is "grouped" per day, but often segments are missing.
If I add that layer to the map view then it correctly displays all the data it has, days and days worth. But using the app and picking a day is often incomplete.
Then, when you look at it with BaseCamp, a days travels are broken into segments. Not sure what the trigger is to stop and start a segment. And again, some distances are missing.

In the where I have been app you will see the distance of the track. You may want to use a Garmin Forerunner or handheld which will be more suitable for recording your walks. I recommend any of the forerunners that have GPS built in. As per the handhelds you can use the most basic eTrex 10 to collect your walk data. Or if you want to ad maps or have a few more features the eTrex 30 is great and the Oregon 450 is very popular

The issues I'm seeing are while driving. throughout a Saturday I drive several different places, yet at the end of the day the "where i have been" app might only show the last trip for the day.
It's inconsistent though. Perhaps I'll try some controlled testing.

I would check it the next day to see if the data is correct.
