Where is the self-entered speed limit data kept? and is it viewable, editable, deletable? Various scenarios where I'd like to be able to view or delete previous data, such as extended duration road construction that reduces the speed limit in that area, then the construction is finishes.

I talked to a rep at Garmin and they mentioned you can not access the user added speed DB.

The next time you drive down the road that has a changed or wrong speed you can touch the speed sign icon to change it back to the proper value.

How about a way to simply clear everything you've entered so you know you are back to the original "master" values?

You can try a master reset. I am unsure if it will work.

Great info from Garmin Tech Support:

Dear Pete,

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I would be happy to assist you today.

Some devices will allow the user to adjust the speed limit if the speed being shown is incorrect. If there is a need to clear this user modified information, the speed.db file located in the following location on the device will need to be deleted:

\.System\SQlite\SpeedCorrections

These user adjusted speed limits can also be backed up, if needed, by copying the speed.db file to a safe place on the computer. If the file must be restored, simply paste the speed.db file back into the Speed Corrections folder as referenced above.

Please note that the 3500 series must be in mass storage mode to access the hidden .System folder. For steps on putting an MTP device into a single session mass storage mode, please view the following internal article:

//iqc.garmin.com/eCustomer/KODSelfService/request.do?create=kb:garmin&view()=c{e0c54b60-9865-11e0-d01c-000000000000}

You can try cleaing the correction you have made from your device. However if that does not work you will need to perform the master reset.

Thank you.

With Best Regards,

Emily Bo.

Thank you for passing that along. I thought it would be in a SQL database. Please let us know if you were able to access the tables and modify them.
