Recently my wife bought a new car that came with a TomTom Go 3rd edition Canadian. The unit works well, but we have noticed that while the display is in kilometres, the voice instructions remain in miles. I have not been able to locate a way that changes the voice instructions to metric. Is this just a flaw in the programming, or should we get it checked out?

Hi Tom,
We have 2 recommendations to try to fix this glitch. The first is an update to your unit via the TomTom Home software that came with the GPS. If you don't have this software on disc you should be able to download it online at http://www.tomtom.com/services/service.php?id=16&tab=87.
The other solution is to select a different voice file, the British English voice should speak in Kilometers, whereas an American English voice will probably only give the distance in miles.
