I need to change my region setting from Canada/Northern USA to Canada/Southern USA. Would anyone have an idea?

You will need to rerun the update but choose to save the maps to the computer also. Then you can use Garmin MapInstall to choose a different area for your unit. Because you will have the maps locally you will not need to download them again each time you want to change an area.
