Is the software used by the nuvi 3590LMT by NavTeq?, navigon user, Canada
I am wondering whether the software used by the nuvi 3590LMT is by NavTeq, which was used by the Navigon GPS, which is now under Garmin. The existing Navigon GPS are experiencing difficulties with Canadian map updates, specially with speed limits on most of the roads. Has it been overcome in Garmin Nuvi 3590LMT. I'm plaanning to switch to one of these. Or else is there a better option from Gramin.

The speed data for Canada and the USA is not complete so you will see errors or lack of speed limits. They will be coming in future map updates. The maps come from Navteq which is the best choice for North America. The nuvi 3590LMT will have some speed limits in Canada but not all. Garmin uses recent releases from Navteq. I am not sure if the Navigon division uses recent releases of the maps. Because all Garmins use the same maps they will have the same speed limits.
