Purchased Nuvi from Canadian Tire a little over a year ago. It has worked perfectly both in Canada and the US. Have updated maps a month or so ago and now it doesn't recognize Canada and seems there is no way of changing that. When typing in "C" the Cayman Islands comes up. We do not need anything but North America. Do you know what has happened?

You will need to buy a memory card of at least 4GB to load the updates on for older units. You then will have to update you GPS unit again. This time save the maps to your PC also. Then you can use Garmin MapInstall to load the maps onto the memory card. If you need guidance you can call 1-800-800-1020
