I just downloaded the lifetime map option to my new nuvi 50LM. The system advised me that I either needed to purchase more memory or select Canada and the boarder states or half of Canada and half of the United States. (east coast or west coast. The unit is advertised as coming with both Canada and the USA. Is there something wrong with the memory in my Garmin GPS? Regards, Mike

Some of the lower end and older units may not have enough memory for future map updates. That is OK because they all have memory card slots the maps can be loaded on. I suggest picking up a 4GB card for your unit.
