Jordan, you stated that Waypoints were dropped with the new 3590.
Well then on your web sit could you please remove the following video which was done by you Jordan. "Garmin nuvi 3590LMT & 3550LM: Picture Viewer" As it clearly shows in picture viewer selecting a picture of the Garmin Office with a Waypoint or as known as a Geotagged photo you click on the pin in the upper right hand corner it takes you to the point where the picture was taken. This is one of the reasons that I purchased the Garmin 3590 from GPSCity.ca

Thank you for pointing that out. At the time of the video that function did work as the video showed. I will be double checking the unit tomorrow for I recall that function and when I checked today it was no longer there like you noticed on your unit. It may be something that is fixed with a firmware update.

I talked to Garmin today and they confirmed that the unit used to have that feature but has since been taken out. The Garmin Tech rep mentioned the feature will not be coming back. We will add a pop up to our video stating that the geotagging feature is no longer in the unit.

As always the manuafacture controls the design and the firmware.
Please ask that this be reincorperated as a future, feature request. If enough people want it back then they will have to program the functionality back into the unit. Thank you as I sure thought I was doing something wrong at my end. Your follow up was very much appreciated.

I mentioned to the reps that it would be best to have that feature or not have a picture viewer at all. I suggest you give them your feedback also. garmin.com/ideas

I recently purchased a 3590 LMT. The advertisement stated that the unit had a lot of way points. I cannot even find the words 'way point' in two different 3590 documents or manuals. What goes? I'm simply trying to set a trip that can override the basic shortest route, fastest route, or cheapest route. I have not had any success doing this.

Waypoints are called Favorites in the Garmin nuvi series. You will find them in Where to? once you mark a few.

To make your own route use the Garmin Trip Planner in the apps menu
