You can use the free program Garmin Basecamp to transfer data from one nuvi to another.

Where are you having difficulties?

All you will need to do is drag the points from your one nuvi in Basecamp to the other nuvi in Basecamp.

Here is a link to a video about organizing your data which may help.

error message, drag and drop, copy paste, duplicate... no luck.
Will try again when I have spare time.
Other than that, so far, nice improvements over the 1490.

Make sure the basecamp version you are using is up to date. If you see the points on the left of the screen you should be able to transfer them to the unit
