I have a 465 that is about 3 years old. I want to buy another in case something happens to this one as I use it with my motor home so have height restrictions etc. that I need to be aware of on the road. My current 465 can switch between truck and car mode (provides different routes for the car mode where no height restrictions are necessary). I assume the newer one will also do this. Please confirm. The stats also mention it is not motorcycle friendly - I use it on my motorcycle all the time. Bought a handlebar connector that fits the 465. Is there any reason why I should not use it on a motorcycle (big cruiser, not off road so no rough roads).

None of the nuvi's and dezls are considered Motorcycle friendly. However many people will use them on the motorcycle with limited problems. The units are not rugged, dust proof, waterproof and do not have the biking features found in the zumo series.

The new units that replace the nuvi 465 will be able to switch vehicle modes. They are the Dezl 560 and Dezl 760.
