What are the map files called when you look at what is loaded on your garmin with a mac laptop. if you delete a map can you then load a new map from Garmin? I loaded Canada and border states but what I want is the lower 48 since I am currently in Arizona.

The map files are hidden and are not accessible.
The easiest way to change the map would be to run the map updater and select the new area or install a 4GB microSD card and install the complete map.
