Maybe you guys can help since Garmin Support is useless on this subject. I am trying to follow a route made in Basecamp and transferred to the 3490.
The settings are Off Road for both unit and Basecamp and using the same map.
The route shows up in Trip Planner, but when telling it to go, the route gets recalculated. It will not follow the Way Points I entered.
Is there a way to do this or is this unit not able to follow point to point. Thanks for any help.

What tool are you using to create the route. There are two route tools. One allows you to click on the map. The mouse will be three green dots with a line between them. I just gave it a test using that tool at it worked with a 3590. I don't have a 3490 today to test with. The setting in Basecamp is called 'Direct' for making off road routes in basecamp. And 'Off-road' in the nuvi like you mentioned.

Is basecamp and your GPS firmware up to date?

Win 7 Basecamp, the three green dots for the route. I did use direct in Basecamp with Off Road on the nuvi. Basecamp and the nuvi is up to date. Thanks for your help on this.
