I have the phone volume set to 10 and I can barely make out what the person is saying.

Is it distorted? - If so I say keep the volume at 80 to reduce distortion.

Is your vehicle too loud and you can't hear it? - Try to reduce the in cabin noise.

Does it happen with every call? - Maybe ask the person at the other end to speak up.

Is your GPS up to date. Maybe updating your GPS will help. You can do so using the free program Garmin web updater.

It is not distorted and only the phone volume is a problem. I drive an Acura and I don't find it to be loud. There is less volume than I'd like on every call. This is a brand new unit and I did the usual update when I registered.

My 2595LMT has exactly the same issue...seems to be a bluetooth speakerphone feature deficiency with this particular model..you can search the Internet and find lots of folks complaining about the same issue....

I have the same problem. The only satisfactory solution is that when the 2595 answers a call (It works great except for no volume at the unti and the phone) I simply say "Hold on" into my phone and power off the 2595 then all is normal on the phone. PITY I CANNOT Speak through the GPS via Bluetooth as is clearly indicated on the box. I did not buy my Nuvi from here but rather a box store so it appears to be a Nuvi 2595LMT issue
