What is the release date? , Bill, So Cal I see there is a new release date for the 2360LMT.
Is this because the first batch is sold out, or was Garmin's release date for the 2360LMT pushed back?
My pre-order has been in for a while now, so I am disappointed to see the release date changed. I'm a bit nervous about purchasing a 1st gen product as it is.

Hello Bill,
The dates have been pushed back.

New unreleased products from Garmin seem to take a while to get out the door, especially a few months before Xmas.
I went through the same thing when the 755T came out....now I am waiting for the 2360lmt just as you are.

I wonder if the 2360LMT will be out before Christmas. Does anyone have an idea? I would like to purchase one for a gift.

Unfortunately, we can only base our information on the information that Garmin gives us. We'll keep our fingers crossed that it will be released by then!

What will be the approx release date for Nuvi 2360 LMT ? and what will be the approx market price too ?

Garmin is currently informing us that the 2360LMT will be available on December 26th in the US and December 17th in Canada. The release date and current price can be seen by clicking on the "Overview" tab above. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Do they really plan on releasing the Nuvi 2360LMT on a Sunday? Why not a few days earlier for the Holiday last minute sales before the 25th? I would think that would be more of an ideal time. Seems like a poor business plan to me.
My source indicates that it will be 12/20 for the release date.
Are these believed to sell out quickly? Any thoughts on availability if you decide not to pre-order?
Hello CM,
It is not unusual for the first batch of units to go straight to the pre-orders, but it does not take long to receive more stock so the should be no problem getting one after the release date.
Hope this helps!

In my opinion this product had many defects when the first batch units came out, and now the manufacturer is trying to solve the problem before the customers start making complaints.

Hello Vic,
This product has not been released yet. No batch issues.

When are they finally releasing it ?? or is it already available ? any problem in pre ordering ? any faults in first batch ?
Hello BKD,
There are no issues with the unit. they may be available this month but I wouldn't count on them for Xmas at this time. You can pre-order if you like and there wont be any issues.
Cheers

Glad to have found this Q&A site, it answered my question on availability.
Please tell me about pricing-- when the product finally hits the shelves I see that it takes a few weeks before the prices fall-- what is your company's pricing strategy?
Thanks for your assistance.

Someone at Garmin should be fired on the spot! They missed a big market for Christmas. On the other hand, fire them after Christmas.

Just release the darn thing! It is easy to do a software update via the web. Unless its issues with hardware, which can not be remedied via the web. This goes on much longer I can see that possibly people may start canceling their pre-orders.

Hello DS,
I would not suggest waiting for the series. There are many good models from Garmin that are available today.

What type of issues are they having that keeps pushing the date out? I guess I will wait and use the original positioning system a map and a compass. At least with these you don't have to worry about a battery running down!!! LOL
Reply #23: Dec 13, 2010, 3:19pm
Hello DS,
There are no issues that are made public. I think they only announced this product because a gadget blog leaked it so they officially announced it. I can not say that is the case for sure but it has happened before. I do not suggest waiting for this unit if it is for the Holidays.
Cheers

Hello,
If you pre-order this unit from GPS City you can change or cancel your order at anytime.

I spent alot of time comparing the garmin units and this one came out well ahead of the others. The only other unit that came close is the nuvi3790LMT. the only problem there is it is an extra 200 dollars. I think I will just wait for the 2360LMT to be released.
I wonder what Garmin is planning now. They have removed the release 1st quarter of 2011 off of the 2360LMT from the web page. Have you heard anything?
In reviewing the latest comparisons of the 2360LMT and the 3790LMT they have reduced the battery run time from up to 3 hours down to a run time of up to 2.5 hours. I wonder why they don't use the same battery that they are putting the the 3790LMT, the case of the 2360LMT is almost twice as thick as the 3790LMT. I know it is probably the components used inside and their power requirements.

Hello DS,
The battery life is probably a result of the screen differences. Its hard to say.

What is the latest on the release date?
The current release date (info given to us by Garmin) can be seen by clicking on the "Overview" tab above.
FYI, I just talked to Garmin and they said they just pushed the release date out again today. They indicated it may be closer to the end of the month.

Hello DS,
Thank you for the information. I suggest investigating a current Garmin model for your use. The new nuvi's are very similar to the 13XX series like the nuvi1390lmt. Is there a specific feature you are waiting for?
Cheers

voice activation, auto sort, blue tooth, In doing a simple trade study the one that was better was the 3790LMT but not worth the extra 200 dollars the one just under the 2360LMT was the nulink 1695 the next down the list was the 1490LMT followed by the 1390LM T then the 255W. I will just wait no big deal as long as I can have it by March. I was just passing along some information that I learned.
Have a good day

Any ideas as to why Garmin is decreasing the price of the 2360LMT? Not complaining but just wondering if they are taking away any of the functionality of the unit that was initially planned
Reply #35: Jan 14, 2011, 2:00pm
Hello DS,
It is a simple price drop, they are not taking away any of the functionality.
Thanks!

I found out that the units are suppose to ship on Friday 21 January
Reply #37: Jan 18, 2011, 9:36am
They are still on track to be shipping from us on January 25th, they should be shipping from Garmin to us on the 21st as long as the units pass their quality inspections.
Here it is the end of January, and nobody seems to have the 2360LMT. What gives?
The units passed their quality inspection at Garmin and were shipped on Friday. We will be receiving them for shipment on Wednesday or Thursday of this week.
