Original question asked on Oct 19, 2010, 8:50am
Will the traffic and map updates work properly in Canada and specifically in Toronto? Here's why I ask,I was prepared to purchase the TomTom GO 740TM live, but after some research I discovered that the updates didn't work very well in Toronto. So,I'm skeptical about this new unit!
Please advise,
Thanks..
Aj

Hello Aj,

There are no reported issues with the Garmin Traffic service. Just be sure to check your coverage area. Most people who have had issues didnt understand how the system worked and if they were in a covered area.

Thanks for the info AB!
Anyways,I was browsing the Garmin web site and noticed a revised version of the 3790T,the 3790LMT unit.
So I have a question or two1)besides the better screen resolution of the 3790 vs 2360,are there any other discernable differences between these units, and 2)will you be selling this new item?
Please advise,thanks.........Aj

Hello Aj,

I have not used or seen the unit so I can only comment on specs. When the unit is available we can tell you which unit is better. I would recommend the 37XX over the new ones coming out at this time.

There may be other functional differences with the unit. Watch our site for videos on it and more.

I have owned a "EAGLE" 2000 GPS for approx. 5 years and have been very satisfied with it. Recently I when't to your Miss.
Ont. depot on Matheson Blvd. for replacement parts and found
that that depot has moved. My question is? Where have they relocated to.

Hi Wayne,
You may be thinking of another company as our only retail location in Canada is in Calgary AB.
Thanks!

Hi Roxie,

I'm looking into getting the 265wt myself. I noticed on the website that Calgary is listed under Traffic, but the link comes up blank whereas the other ones show a map. So is Calgary supported under FM traffic?
