when will the specs for these two units be available online so we can see the difference. I'm curious what the extra $50 gets us on the 3790

Also, it seems there is no adapter included for charging in the vehicle. Is this a separate item or is there some other way to charge it?

Hello Michael,

The extra 50 dollars gets you the voice command function, which allows you to speak directions to your nuvi instead of manually inputting them. And yes you are provided with the vehicle charging cable, but the in home AC charger is a separate purchase.

Hope this helps!

Ok, thanks. I have 2 more Q's
1. Do you have available maps for the Philippines?
2. Since these are Topo compatible does that mean it can be used for back country hiking and canoeing even though it's not built for rugged use? Perhaps the batter life would be the biggest problem aside from its delicacy.
oops, 3 questions: If I order the unit now will it arrive here before Dec. 8th? I'm leaving for the Philippines on the 9th.

Hello,

1) Sorry we don't have mapping for the Philippines. There are dealers in the Philippines that can provide you the maps.
2) The maps can view topo maps but the unit is made for street driving only. It is not good for hiking or other activities.
3) you can have one next day if you like. WE have many shipping options for you to choose from.

Cheers
