I have read that this unit has "multi touch glass display", but what does this mean? And is the unit capable of being used for Geocaching?

Hello Gary,

Multitouch means it will recognize more than one screen touch at a time. Good for pinch zooming. The nuvi's are not suitable for geocaching. You should look at an Oregon 450 or similar unit.

Hope you don't mind but I have found several geocaches with mine, just load the coordinates, set it to pedestrian mode, its not my prefered gps for geocaching, but you can find them with it. The hand helds are better. There are many which are cheaper than the Oregon which will be OK

Using a nuvi for geo-caching is like using a Smart car for offroading. You can go down the same gravel road but it is not as easy/safe as using a vehicle built for the job.
