Hello Andy,

This is a new product. It keeps getting delayed so I would not count on it for Christmas. We have other similar models that are available. I highly suggest the nuvi 3790T over the nuvi 23XX series.

why would you reccommend the 3790 over the 23xx series (other than the delay)?

Yes I would. I cant comment on the 23XX accurately because I never held one. Based on spec the nuvi 23XX series is nothing to get excited about or wait for since the 37XX is already available. It is a low end version of the 37XX based on what I have seen online.

Don't worry Jack the way the release date is being pushed back over and over by Garmin the price of the 37XX will probably come down. I took the plunge and placed an order on the 2360 a few months ago, but if the 37XX takes a dive in price I just might cancel and order one of them instead.
