Hello Nico,
To get rid of advertisements you must turn traffic off. Please note with traffic off you will have no ads but you will also have no traffic updates.

What a pain - talk about causing accidents by forcing users to click on coupons to get rid of them! I have a 1450 LMT and similarly would like to turn off the coupon/advertising bug completely without turning off traffic. Is there a way to remove it?
Seems like this is asking for a lawsuit class action given all the attention to distracted driving these days....

Jack,
You do not have to touch the advertisements, they will simply disappear after a short while if left alone. They also do not display when following a route, they are what keeps the traffic information free for life so with traffic on there really is nothing you can do to remove them.

I agree with Jack. And yes, Jordan they do appear when following a route. I put in an address for a work site and had coupons popping up disrupting the turn by turns I needed to make. I had to hit the screen back to home and then select recent to find the work address. This is VERY annoying while trying to drive in an unfamiliar town.

I hate this annoying feature. I would pay for traffic if that would make this lame feature a thing of the past.

They also display things that are of no relevance whatsoever. For instance, I am driving in Memphis, TN, and it is displaying a coupon for Downtown Disney, in Florida.

you can pay for the traffic subscription to get rid of the advertisements. Just visit Garmin.com and you can purchase a premium subscription.
