I have polorized lenses in my glasses. Will that cause a problem viewing the Nuvi550 screen?

Hello Red Rider
Good day! There are no problems reading the Nuvi 550 screen with Polarized glasses because the screens are backlit. I think the issue is only with black and white (monochrome) screens without back lights . Have fun!

Cheers
Jordan

Garmin says otherwise when I did a search on "Polarized" at their support search page.

Question: Why can't I see my screen when I'm wearing polarized sunglasses?
Answer:
LCD screens work by polarizing light and because of this wearing polarized sunglasses can make it difficult to read them. This depends a lot on the viewing angle and the type of polarized filter in the sunglasses. These types of glasses can also interact with other polarized materials and surfaces such as window tinting, causing blind spots or other visual anomalies like cross-hatching and spotting. Changing the viewing angle or using non-polarized sunglasses is the best course of action to correct this problem.
