I am trying to decide between the 3790LMT and the 2360LMT and would like to understand the differences between them along with the pros and cons for both. Why would I pay $170 more for the 3790LMT over the 2360LMT?

Hello Ken,

The main difference between the units is there physical specifications as well as the screen technology that is used. The 3790 uses the capacitive touchscreen, which allows multi touch like the iPhone. The 2360 will be a standard resistive touchscreen, also the 2360 will not be as pretty or thin as the 3790.

Hope this helps!

I, too, am trying to decide between the 3790LMT and the 2360LMT. I have held a 3750 and this series not only is "pretty", it feels better, too. My questions are: (1) Are there issues with frequently moving the 3790 in and out of its power mount because it is so thin? (2) Does the higher resolution on the 3790 make it less susceptible to glare? I have a glare problem with my 2xx series unit. (3) Is the multi-touch available on the menu screens or just on the map screens?
(4) Is the 3D building feature useful or just a novelty feature?

Hello,

The 3790 has no issues being remove and replaced in its powered speaker mount. The 37xx series has a little more glare that other units being a glass finish but isnt effected by the bleedout like other units. Multi touch works in the map screens aswell as the picture viewer tool. 3D buildings is more of a gimmic than a legitimate feature but it is easy on the eyes.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick response. You answered my questions well except, I am not familiar with the term "bleedout" as applied to GPS units.

Hello,

Your welcome, bleedout refers to when a MAT finish screens colors become very dull and harder to see due to sunlight.

Hope this helps!
