1490 LMT Screen Quality?

1. I have had the 1490LMT for about a month. The screen doesn't always react to the touch the way my 780 did. It is difficult to change options, search, etc. w/o pulling over and concentrating (like hitting traffic icon while at a stop). I was willing to accept it (since you're not supposed to make adjustments while driving.)However, after unusually cloudy weather for So. CA last month, now with sunny weather I can't see the screen that well - and very limited if I am wearing my polarized glasses. Never had an issue w/the 780 & my brightness/contrast settings are maxed. The two issues combined are making the unit more problematic when driving in bright conditions (the norm here). More worried about fade out in the future making it worse. - Any feedback?

Hello,

We've had nothing but great feedback regarding the response time of the 1490's touchscreen, and to reduce screen bleedout one solution is to add a screen protector to the unit. Also try using using the unit in night time display all the time this could help you visibility issues.

Hope this helps!
