Hello Alain,

Yes you can add geocaching waypoints to this unit just like you do with your handheld. It is ca good tool to navigate you to the cache but wont bring you as close as a handheld would.

Hope this helps!

I like to use my nuvi to get me to a nearby geocache, then switch to my GPSMAP 62s for the hunt.
When waypoints are added, can they ALL appear on the map as icons when in Map View and/or when navigating, and can proximity alerts be set?

Hello Robert,

Yes you can do that. You will need to load the geo-caches as a external POI via Garmin POILoader. You will need to put your geo-caches into a CSV or GPX file that is compatible with the program.
