I have a Maestro 3225 that serves me well except that I live in a growing area and many of the streets are not in my GPS. I could spend $70 for a 2010 SD card, but that seems ridiculous, considering the prices of new models with up-to-date cards. Are there any that provide lifetime maps? What should I do? Just bite the bullet or upgrade and throw the old one away?

Hello FanKing,

I would start fresh with a new unit. Pleas note it takes a few years for updates to show up for new areas. Also they will only map new areas if they know they exist so please use the map reporter tools to let the mapping company know of new areas. Maps for Magellan and Garmin come from Navteq.com

Cheers
