Are you able to acquire the most up-to-date maps free of charge (ONE TIME) if the latest version is not already installed on the shipped refurbished unit similar to what's offered with any new Garmin GPS?

Hi Adrian - Good question. In order to download your one-time free mapping update, you would need to call Garmin tech support at 1800-800-1020 upon receipt of the unit. You will need to provide a proof of purchase, at which time, yes, you will be able to update the maps. Let us know if we can help with anything else!
