So ... Garmin has delayed the release of the 2370LT by six weeks? Haven't there been a couple delays now for this product? Yet it is just another product in a series that is already released?

Garmin has delayed the release of these products, yes. We are not privy to the intent behind their decisions during the launch of the products, unfortunately.

I preordered this GPS a month ago. I leave for Europe for a year on April 12. It use to be when a company said they would do something, they were good to their word. No wonder this country is going to Hades in a hand basket.

Hello Joe,

I recommend a current model for your trip. The nuvi 1370 will be available for you right away.

Cheers

Does anyone know the date when the 2370LT will be released for shipment?

The release date is visible on the main Nuvi 2370LT page. At this time it is an estimate, and will be updated as soon as the product arrives.
Thanks for the question.

Hello Darek,

Is there any specific feature you would like that this unit has? If you are going on a trip soon I would look at a currently available model. You can always add Europe to North American units for your travels.

Cheers

Is GPS City planning to give a discount for the constant delays of the product? I understand this is out of GPS City's control, but I've been waiting for three months. The last time I spoke with customer service, they told me the new release date was mid April. I would have purchased another model if I knew this was going to be delayed so many times.

Hello Andrea,

Sorry but the posted dates are estimated release dates put forth by the manufacturer. Estimated ship dates will change. We will not be able to offer any discounts on the product when it is available because the estimated ship date changed. We do have European models available today if you need a unit ASAP. Please check out the nuvi 1370T.

Cheers

Is Garmin going to release this product this decade? I don't mean to be sarcastic but the unit has already been delayed 3 times! What is Garmin's take on it? Will the unit be released in May?

The least they could do is provide a reason for the delay! Garmin should give us a free case or free lifetime map updates for our troubles! I know that the product release date is out of your control, but could you at the very least give us next day shipping free for those who pre ordered (I've been waiting since October 2010) You should also do a better job of communicating the delays to your customers!

Hello Zak,

The provided dates are only estimates and come with no guarantee. All delays are posted on our site. We do not recommend this product if you need something sooner that later. You can get the same functionality with a nuvi 2360LMT and a Europe card if you need a solution ASAP.

Cheers

Hi Jordan,
Assuming that the 2370 LT does come out in the next month or 2, what do you think the difference will be compared to the 1370? If it does what is says it will do (I know, call me naive) are there comparable products by other makers (e.g. TomTom) that we should consider. We are going to France in August

Thanks

The 1370 has less memory so when you update you will loose a bit of map coverage. You can not talk to the 1370. The 1370 also can not do dual orientation screen. We don't recommend Tomtom for use in north America at this time. For Europe Tomtom is good
