I'm thinking about buying a car gps for the 1st time. I'm looking at the Garmin 765T & 755T. You show that the 765T is topo compatable but the 755T is not, but Garmin shows they both are the same, except for bluetooth. I have a hand held that I use mostly for hunting in Montana and I use it in a cradle when driving some times. I'd like get a large car gps that will be used for driving on and off road. What do you recommend that will accept topo maps?

Hi Bill!

Both of those Nuvis will take topographic maps, yes. I've changed that to show correctly on the Nuvi 755T. I would recommend either of these units, depending on whether you need bluetooth or not. Basically all Garmin units will take topo maps, but handheld units will have more capabilities for outdoor use rather than the automotive Nuvis.

I hope this helps! Let us know if we can help with anything else. Happy New Year!
