Hello Simon,

The cable that comes with the nuvi 265wt does not specify its voltage rating but based on other similar cables it should do 24V with no issues. Newer units like the nuvi 2360LMT mention right on the cable that they will work with 10 - 30V. I am assuming you are using this on a larger truck. If that is the case I would recommend a trucking GPS like the nuvi 465LMT or Garmin Dezl.

***Once we are able to contact Garmin we can give you a definite answer on the nuvi 265WT power cable. ***

Hi Simon,
I've just spoken with Garmin's tech support, and they have confirmed that the power cable for this unit does NOT support more than 12V. Our recommendations would be for you to look into the dezl, or nuvi 465 trucking GPS.
Thanks!
