Power failure during map update. Now all kinds of problems. Dashboard says the unit is updated. Unit gives me the message"No detail maps found that supports routing. The nuvi can not be used without them" When I try to reinstall latest maps i get a message that i do not have enough memory space. I need to reset and start over. I did a reset but it didn't solve the lack of enough memory.Still can't update maps and the unit will not run. Hangs on the message.

When doing you update pay close attention to the Wizard screens. You may have an option to reduce the size of the map so it fits. I would also call Garmin for assistance while doing the update. 1-800-800-1020

I took your advice and called Garmin Support. Jed walked me thru the process of deleting all the language and Text files that I don't need which got me to a point that I could finist the download. He then instructed me on using MapInstall to load everything I need on to an SD card. Toal sucess. Brovo Jed.
