The GTM35 with my unit isn't powering the unit or giving any traffic information. Is this a known issue, or is there a known fix? Is there any way to tell if it is the cable itself or the mount itself that is the issue?

Hello John,

The most common problem is the fuse blowing. Does the light come on when the cable is plugged in? Does the cable work in other vehicles?

Cheers

The light does come on, but it doesn't power the unit or provide traffic info. The cable that is used to connect to my home computer will power the unit in the car.

Hello John,

Sounds like there is a short in the cable. If purchased through us we can warranty it for the first 30 days after the purchase. After that time Garmin takes care of the product. Please call us or Garmin to get the cable repair or replaced.

Cheers
