Eco route HD with a non bluetooth device ?

How is it possible.... The 2555, a non bluetooth device, is comatible with eco route HD. Garmin error ? Or something special ?

It is not compatible with the Eco-route HD cable. It however has a eco-route application in it but it bases its information on GPS data not engine info.

2555 is indicate as compatible on garmin website, and when I select eco route in "application" my gps says "I need an ecoroute HD adapter..."
And where is the good old ecoroute option ???? New garmin product new feautures, and some features on the trash bin ?

It is not unfortunately because of the lack of Bluetooth. We have passed some feedback onto Garmin for their review.

You will be able to purchase ecoroute for that unit but at a future date (non HD ecoroute that is). They will not be pre-installing it on units anymore according to the Garmin rep I spoke with. It will be a 9.99USD purchase for non-bluetooth models going forward.

So eco route cable compatible with 2555 is a mistake on garmin website....not very professional.....

On the other side, on the accessories listed for the 2555, the eco route hd 010-11380-10 is listed as compatible....

Unfortunately without bluetooth it is not compatible.
