On the original garmin speaker cable assembly on my 2720, there is, located on the side of speaker housing itself, what seems to be a female connection with two pins in the recessed holes. Is this to inable you to have an accessory speaker ? and if so, is the cable available.I am thinking of incorparating speakers in my motorcycle helmet and would need to be able to connect to the existing audio in some manner.

regards

That is the DR (Dead Reckoning) cable connection for when you lose satellite reception in a tunnel or something similar. The Garmin Streetpilot 2720 does not have that feature. However you can do what you want with the following cable. The Garmin Motorcycle Power/Audio Cable 010-10495-02.
