I have the Nuvi 760 motorcycle mount and the Nuvi 760. The 760 is powered through the car mount. The motorcycle mount that I have does not power the 760. Do you have a way of powering the 760 through a mount or cord so I can plug it in directly to a power motorcycle outlet?

Hello Richard,

What mount do you have? You will need the vehicle cradle on the back of the unit to supply it power. The 18pin Gilsson cable will plug into the Garmin cradle.

My Garmin nuvi 705 series connect to 12v battery of my motorcycle
through a 2 wire, thick, power cable. In between the end connectors, there is a even thicker part of the cable with small whole through I can see a shiny blade, part of the connection circuit. Can I get help in answering my question: What that, is this hole of any pupose, it is a jack to plug another cable, for a parallel power connection to some other device?
Thanks

Hello Alec,

The small hole is for a traffic receiver antenna just in case you are getting poor traffic signals when traveling. Most European models come with the antenna. I have not seen it come with many North America model or be needed in the Americas.

Cheers
