Just received my 12 adapter for cigarette plug and have noticed it displays
a "replacement fuse tag on the wire close to the plug end, however I am
wondering after looking how do I get at the fuse should it blow the whole
plug seems plastic welded together ?
Oh and is it possible to cut off the plug end in order to hard wire it to the
vehicle fuse panel ?
Thanks

The fuse is in the tip of the power plug. It will unscrew. This cable supplies 12V to the cradle of your unit so you could cut the one end off and wire it direct. Be sure to fuse it

So, just to be sure if I need to wire it direct
A) The GPS will still be usable during connection ?
B) It will not have an issue with the cut off end ?
C) And, it will not recognize the direct connection as a
data connection only cable ?

P.S. I have received my adapter plate and very grateful for
speedy shipment !!
Thank You Very Much
Kirk

This is not a data cable so your unit will not see it as a data connection. Cutting the end off will be fine as long as you fuse it and hook it up correctly. In the cigarette lighter adapter end there are just wires and no circuits. It will work like normal when used in this manner.
