Since the cable seam’s to have a power transformer or regulator, I would like to know if it's possible to connect the Power Cable to the Fuses Boxes instead of connecting it to the Motorcycle battery? (The power turns off when I stop the engine).
If not, even if the GPS is disconnected, since the power cable is connected directly to the battery, I suspect it take always some power consumption from the battery because of the transformer, am I correct?

Hello Ian,

You can wire the cable to the fuse box. Make sure you connect to the battery side of the fuse. That way you don't over load the fuse you are tapping to. The cable has its own fuse. Please refer to your bikes manual to see if they have any recommendations for adding after market accessories.

The cable if connected directly to the battery will draw a little power when the GPS is not connected. The power is consumed by the green power LED.

Cheers
Jordan
