Power Cable putting Nuvi 500 into USB mode

Hi, I bought this wire from GPS city, however after sometime of riding. the power put my gps into usb mode. Is there any troubleshoot for this?

I directly connect to my motorcycle battery.

Does it happen right away or after riding for a while?

Did the cable ever work for you?

I would suggest updating your GPS using Garmin Webupdater. That may help.

If you wiggle the cable or shake the box mid cable does anything happen? Do you hear any think loose in the box?

Try tapping the power button when it goes into USB mode.

The cable did work for me for a start... after riding sometime.. it will automatic goes into usb mode... i updated my gps using garmin webupdate as i know there is some issue with the power for nuvi 550....

Please advice if the other power cable is better?
