There are two outside diameters to consider. The diameter not including the fins is approximately 65mm (2.5 inches). The diameter including the fins is 88mm (3.469 inches).

Thanks. The smaller diameter must be somewhat larger, since a 12 oz. can is 2.6 inches in diameter and that finned piece seems to be intended to fit around a can.

I was actually interested in the outside diameter of the piece attached to the flex arm. I have a MINI, and it has stunningly shallow cup/can holders (1.9 inches or so). I was thinking of using just the non-finned piece to jam into the can holder to serve as the base of my mount. I'm now trying to come up with another way to attached the round base 1" ball to something in the can holder instead of using the ram-a-can.

The bottom plastic expands and holds the can tightly.

The outer diameter of the top part is approximately 71mm (2.81 inch).

You could put the RAM-b-202 in the cup holder and attach to it. You can use screws or adhesive to hold the b202 down. Please let us know what you come up with or if you need additional assistance.
