Hi,
I can't get close enough to the pedal sensor. I do not want to tilt it too much because I am worried about hitting it with my foot. Any ideas? The book says to be within 5 mm.

Thanks,
Rob

You will need to get it very close. You could try a stronger magnet on the pedal and or spokes. Not sure if that will work.

I will try a stronger magnet, but there must be more people out there who have had this problem. Both my bikes have a greater distance from pedal to the support arm where the main unit sits.

I have had this problem with my road bikes. I used a small block of aluminum between the magnet and crank arm. You can use rubber or plastic too. You have to be careful though, glue it to the magnet (or crank arm) if you can because the block can slide out from under the magnet, and the magnet will fall off or come loose.
