Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I will be happy to assist you with the specifications on the Tempe.
The unit is water resistant to 32.9 ft (10 meters).
The battery type is a CR2032/3 volts.
The battery life is up to 1 year.
The operating temperature range is From -4 degrees F to 140 degrees F (-20 degrees C to 60 degrees C).
The radio frequency is 2.4 GHx ANT plus wireless communications protocol.
The weight of the unit is 10 g including battery
The temperature range the device displays is limited to 3 characters/digits.
As far as accuracy, there really isn't any accuracy specifications published. The unit is a thermometer, basically. It will display the ambient temperature that it is exposed. So, if the unit is placed on or next to your body on a cool day, like 80 degrees, it will display higher than it actually is, since the body temperature is 98.6, normally. Attaching the Tempe to a backpack will result in an accurate temperature reading.

I recently used it in temperatures between -15C and -32C (as measured with a Kestrel 4500). it recorded down to -28C, then nothing, then worked again above -28C, so I believe that is the practical lower temperature. Temperatures matched with the reading of the Kestrel, so I am happy with the purchase. I wish it was white, so as not be affected by the direct sunlight.
