Just got my Tempe delivered today, thanks GPSCity! But had an issue with the battery holder/cover. When I put the cover on the back, lined up the dot on the cover with the first dot on the Tempe, it didn't want to turn clockwise to close. After close inspection of the slots in the cover and the small tabs in the tempe, it doesn't look like they all align up correctly. I was finally able to get the cover on by aligning the tabs on the bottom of the Tempe with the slots and then using a bit of pressure, turning the cover clockwise until the top tabs popped into their slots and locked in. Anyone else have this issue?

It is a very tough to get on. It is mainly the rubber O ring that is causing the friction. It is to help it be more water resistant.

I'll try using a bit of silicone lubricant on the o-ring, see if that doesn't help.

You should not need to use any lube. I have a video going up to show you how to do it. It will be on our site soon. check the Tempe Video page in the next few days.

Just got an email back from Garmin support, they are aware of the problem with the o-ring. Got my cover on by lightly coating the o-ring with silicone lubricant, it now turns to the second dot much easier. Also, looked at the video you posted, didn't see the bright red o-ring on your battery cover, does the tempe in the video come with a black o-ring?

The tempe used in the video has a red o-ring that is visible at 0:42 seconds.
