Will there be a preloaded basemap for south america with a similar detail as in the US?

There is not much information in the Basemap for North America. Mainly just political borders and city POIs. For South America you will have political borders but you will need to add your own POI db for your area.

can i use this gps watch in asian countries ,meaning the (map)

You can use the unit all over the world without issues. It will only have a north American POI DB. It only contains cities. In a watch like this you will most likely not need the city POI DB. You will be able to add you own POI and other data for use in other countries.
